What an exciting day for the PolliConnect project!

Our team had the fantastic opportunity to attend the North-West Europe annual event in Luxemburg, a hub for innovation and collaboration across the region. It was a day filled with inspiring discussions, networking, and, of course, a chance to showcase the work all partners are doing to protect and enhance wild pollinator populations in the countries of this consortium.

Our very own project coordinator, Levi Aerts, proudly presented PolliConnect detailing the project rationale and outcomes. We also presented a poster highlighting our innovative management techniques designed to create thriving pollinator habitats, as well as the cutting-edge camera setups we're using to monitor and understand pollinator activity. We were thrilled to share the visual evidence of our efforts, showing real-world examples of our work in action.

The event also provided a unique opportunity for us to connect with other environmental enthusiasts and policymakers of the Interreg NWE community and its amazing projects

We were particularly excited to discover that even the parliament building itself is contributing to pollinator conservation! We captured a great shot of the building alongside its dedicated pollinator area – a perfect image for our communication efforts to highlight how even urban environments can support these crucial creatures.

It was truly inspiring to see the dedication to a greener future at the event, and we were proud to be a part of it. The connections we made and the insights we gained will undoubtedly fuel our ongoing efforts to make a significant impact on pollinator health throughout the North-West Europe region.

Stay tuned for more updates on the PolliConnect project as we continue to work towards a more biodiverse and sustainable future!
