Interreg NWE Communication and Impact Workshop in Brussels

On 17 September 2026, representatives of PolliConnect joined the Interreg North-West Europe Communication and Impact Workshop in Brussels. INOVA DE GmbH, responsible for communication and dissemination activities within PolliConnect, attended the event together with VLM, the project coordinator.

Organised by the Interreg North-West Europe Programme, the workshop brought together communication managers and lead partners from projects across the NWE region to explore an important question: how can communication contribute more effectively to project impact? The programme combined expert contributions, practical discussions and exchanges between projects, with particular attention to communicating cooperation clearly, engaging target audiences and supporting the uptake and upscaling of project results.

For PolliConnect, the workshop was a valuable opportunity to reflect on how we communicate not only what the project is doing, but also why its activities matter and how the knowledge, tools and practices developed within the project can reach the people who can use them.

The carefully curated contributions from the speakers provided useful perspectives on impact-oriented communication, while discussions with representatives of other Interreg NWE projects offered an equally valuable opportunity to exchange experiences, challenges and good practices. Hearing how other partnerships approach stakeholder engagement, storytelling and the communication of project results provided several ideas that can be taken forward within PolliConnect.

The workshop also reinforced the importance of considering communication as an integral part of project implementation rather than simply as a way of reporting on activities. In PolliConnect, this is particularly relevant as we work with a diverse range of stakeholders and territories to promote more pollinator-friendly land management practices and strengthen the transfer of knowledge and approaches across North-West Europe.

INOVA DE and VLM greatly appreciated the opportunity to participate, exchange with the wider Interreg NWE community and learn from both the speakers and fellow projects. The knowledge and discussions gathered in Brussels will help us continue refining how PolliConnect communicates its activities, results and longer-term impact.
