PolliConnect partners from across our four pilot sites came together for an exchange on the first experiences and results from activities on the ground.
The meeting brought together the partners working directly within the pilot areas and provided an opportunity to share knowledge across the different Living Labs. Several presentations highlighted the first monitoring results from this year, alongside more focused discussions on moths, endangered butterfly species and the specific conservation measures that can support them.
The exchange showed the value of looking beyond individual pilot sites. While each area has its own habitats, species and local challenges, partners can learn from the monitoring approaches and practical measures being tested elsewhere in the project.
Creating these connections is an important part of PolliConnect’s Living Lab approach. By bringing pilot site partners together regularly, we can compare experiences, discuss what is working, identify common challenges and transfer useful practices between regions.
Would you like to contribute to pollinator protection in your region? We are keen to involve interested stakeholders and exchange experiences beyond the PolliConnect partnership. If your organisation, municipality, land management body, community or other initiative is working on—or interested in—pollinator protection, we would be pleased to explore opportunities for exchange and potentially organise a future meeting.

A productive exchange and another step towards turning the experiences from our pilot sites into shared knowledge and action across North-West Europe.
