Yesterday our Dutch partner Fogelina Cuperus hosted a visit to our 4th and final PolliConnect pilot site in Friesland. Together with local stakeholders they explored the field, discussed opportunities on the ground and confirmed everyone’s commitment to collaborate in the coming years to improve conditions for wild pollinators 🐝
This pilot will follow a scientific protocol and applies a landscape approach, connecting green spaces through ecological corridors and blue-green infrastructure. The site will serve as a living lab where farmers, land managers and experts co-design practical measures that strengthen pollinator biodiversity and ecological connectivity across the wider region.
Stay tuned as we translate these pilot experiences into solutions that can be shared and replicated throughout North-West Europe.
